And the cycle repeateth…

Hey, everyone. Hopefully no one died during the exam period and you’re all still with me, because we’re on the precipice of a brand new term! And to kick things off, we have our first meeting of the term this coming Monday, May 2nd. As for the room, well, it’s undecided, as we don’t actually have a room booked yet…

I’ll update this as soon as I can tell you more, but for now, I can say that it will be one of these rooms: MC 2034, 2035, 2038, 4020, 4021, 4061, or 4059.

The first meeting will feature the executive elections, during which I may be uprooted from my position as webmaster. So, I’ll take this opportunity to say that I’ve had a great time making these newsposts, and being webmaster, and I hope I served you all well, providing the big scoop on all the club happenings. It’s been fun, and I hope to serve you all again in this or some other capacity in the future.

But if this is my last newspost, I wish to say one final word…

KIRABOSHI!

Everything look about the same? That’s because Dylan has been working hard for the entire term to complicately replicate the look and feel of the old site. However, there is still one feature that’s brand new, comments! That’s right, now you can tell us directly how lame our jokes are on the front page.

It’s always over so fast, isn’t it? Here we are, at the end of our glorious winter term, with nothing but exams on the horizon. But before that, there’s one more thing:

  • Meeting – Monday, April 4, 6:00PM, Room AL 105. This is it for Ctrl-A this term. Just one final meeting to wrap everything up, talk about the show dates for next term, and discuss the End-of-Term survey. Show up if you want to wish everyone a hearty farewell.

One last reminder: the End-of-Term survey will still be up for the next week, so if you haven’t yet had the opportunity to fill it out, please do so now. We want to hear your opinions to better shape the next term.

Yep, that’s it. Sad, I know, but we’ll be back for the summer term. You can count on it!

Until next term!

First and foremost, I would like to bring your attention to our End-of-Term Survey, where we ask questions of you, our members, in order to improve the club and how we operate. We want to hear from you, so please, give us your feedback. The survey can be found here.

Yes, the term is soon to be over, but that doesn’t mean there’s no more fun left, right? We at Ctrl-A can’t let the term end without a bang, so here’s all the awesome stuff to look forward to this week.

  • Meeting – Monday, March 28, 6:00PM, Room AL 105. We’ll probably talk about how the weekend went (Jon’s marathon show and sushi lunch) and not much else. It’s a meeting, you know the drill.
  • Project Night – Wednesday, March 30, 6:00PM, Room SLC 2109. As is our wont, we are holding another project night this Wednesday. I haven’t been to one in a while, but I presume it still entails games and projects of some sort. Should be fun.
  • Karaoke – Friday, April 1, 4:30PM, AL 116. No, it’s not a joke, it’s really happening. If you love to sing anime or anime-themed music in public, then you can do so in an organized fashion this Friday. You can request the songs you’d like to sing here.
  • Survival Tag – Saturday, April 2, 1:00PM, Physics building Atrium. For those of you who participated last term, it will be functionally identical this time around. For those who are new to it, imagine a cross between tag and a scavenger hunt. It’s tricky to explain here, so direct yourself to this thread for rules.
  • Pot Luck – Saturday, April 2, 5:30-6:00PM, Kyle’s apartment. If you need directions to Kyle’s place, send him an email or follow people from survival tag. There will be much eating and much gaming. A ton of fun, so make sure you make it. Unlike hot pot, there is no cost for attending, as the food is provided by all of you! Let people know what you’re bringing here so we know what we’re missing. Kyle also recommends bringing folding chairs if you have them.

And just in case you’ve forgotten, the EOT Survey is available here. I cannot stress this enough, we want to hear from you! Please fill out the survey and tell us your opinions.

That’s this week. Exciting, isn’t it? At Ctrl-A, we end terms the right way. Although, please note that we will have at least a meeting next week, so don’t think this is all for us.

Just try to stop us!
