Advanced
Advertising
Bessie had posters ready for show four, but the wrong month was on them. Month was corrected by end of the meeting. The Website needs to be updated as it still shows “Show 2” schedule. The Amv contest has received a lot of advertising, but the art contest has not. Kate the activities coordinator has said that all forms of art from pottery to paper would be accepted.
All AMV’s need to be on Emiko Chan by Friday at the latest to make sure poor Emiko can run them.
Chris is to bug the Web officer for survey and options by show 4, as well as web updates.
Movie
“FMA-Conqueror of Shamballa ” the movie is going to be presented as the movie of choice for show four, disc is in the Ctrl-A office.
4, Fall Term Planning
Radio Station
James tried to contact some local Radio stations, but they haven’t replied. He will try calling again to make sure they are on board. UW events and the daily bulletin were also mentioned in his e-mail before the meeting.

Imprint Price sheet
1, 2”x10” $250 full color ad on front page (below the fold)
2, 2”x4” $134 for 4 ads, 8ads get 10% discount
3, 4”x4” $102 per issue
Nick recommended we get the 2x10” full color add and will try and see if we can get it in the Frosh issue. Also suggested was cross promotion with other clubs, and for people to dressup in costume wander around campus with Ctrl-A signs. Also hosting general social events such as ‘games, anime, talking and such’ Tabled till next meeting.
WFAC & Watcon
II
WFAC Aid- Joe Chen wants to help with Watcon II and wants to make Watcon II a part of the WFAC festival. Joe seems to want enthusiasm from ctrl-a and will try and get new short series and OVA’s / movies to display.
The club is leery of letting Joe take WatconII over as ‘We can’t commit to doing much in an organized way’ (Matt) Subject was tabled until we know more of what he wants from us.
UW Gamers and the Ministry of Anime are still interested in coming over to do Watcon.
Anime for the Fall
Term
Chevalier D’Eon, Haruhi, Kamichu, Honey and Clover, My Otome, Mushishi, and the Hellsing OVA were all suggested as possible additions to the Ctrl-a schedule, however there is a lengthy debate on whether to wipe the slate clean and start with these anime anew, or to keep the series that are still going and replacing the Anime titles we are finishing this term. Subject was tabled until we know what kind of format we will be using.
Anime Format for
the Fall Term
The subject of format for the next fall term was tabled until the next meeting on July 9th. It was brought up that we could try to put shows at the business meetings, and business meeting at the show, to increase interest in the non-anime side of ctrl-A.
5, New Business
Weekday Shows
Nick’s weekday shows will be up again this week While, Alfie may not have time to start up his weekday shows again.
RPG
The subject of a roleplaying Game was resurrected on the forums, interest seems minimal.
6, Old Business
Club Computer
Emiko Chan is doing ‘ok’ but is rather slow. The call for SDR ram has gone out
to any people who could potentially donate some.
Go Club
No one has talked with the Go-club about a possible collaboration.
Subject of a possible co-coordinated activity is still tabled.
Signing Authority
A time needs to be set up with the bank for signing authority with Chris, Karl and
Nick.
Anime List
It was decided that we ask our members to submit of anime they might be willing
to let the club show, a list, and Nick proved on the ball as his submitted his list for
the club’s approval (currently Nicks list is in the secretary’s possession as we did
not have a clue of where the list should eventually be posted).
7, Approval of
Previous Meeting Minutes
Third meeting minutes for winter 2007 is still missing, we need to find who took those minutes.
Minutes for
meeting 4 were approved as appended.
