Activities:
Art contest: There will be one during the show, contestants must print out the work themselves
Segue: The printer's ink needs refilling
Hare Hare Yukai: Learning the dance had a lot of turnout and everyone had fun
Will there be a performance during show three? It will depend on the number of willing volunteers
So there will be activities, everyone is welcome to participate
Checklist:
Room: Booked
Stuart: Remind to pick up key and pass to Matt
Randy: Chris will bug him
Discs: Karl has ordered Chevalier already and it's here, Karl must drop by Chris' to pick up Galactic Railroad
Equipment: Everything but speakers is in the office, which are in AL 116
Schedule: Approved last week
Reduced Price for the last show? It's been done before, there are a few shows afterwards
Vote: More for lowering the prrice than against
Vote: More for setting the price at 6$ than against
The price of membership is officially reduced to $6 for this show
Posters: They're not posted yet in AL but some are up in other buildings
Bessie printed some, but it required new ink which Bessie bought, then it happened again and she bought more ink (the club owes her money), then it happened again, so she decided to print in black and white from her dad's printer. She got them to some people but missed cutoff dates to give them to a few other people. There are posters up, so that's good. Yay Bessie!
Nick did the design with the schedule details.
3. Volunteer Shows
Matt's are going well, his collection is running out, he's planning two more, one of which will be during the exams
Zip.ca available to get DVDs from
Amanda's shows have gone not bad, this is probably the last week
Yesterterm shows: Will be this week
DVD remote batteries: Are still working since last replacement week previous, Adam is bringing AAA to next show as backup
Shows this Tuesday and Thursday, Show Three Friday, Yesterterm on Saturday
4. Anime North Trip
Details available on website
30 spots available, 4 to a room
Give money to Karl, have Nick check off who gives money
5. Laser Quest
Was booked by someone else on Friday, so now it's booked for Tuesday, December 4th (not Monday Dec. 3 because it cost a heckuva lot more)
WatSFiC is requested to wear stormtrooper uniforms
Teams? Figure it out when we get there
Facebook group has details
6. Equipment Case
Stuff has arrived (mostly), we might have the 5.1 by show three, probably not the equipment case, Karl will set it up once everything has arrived
The case is more of a hockey bag with wheels, will likely need two people, still more portable than the trebuchet of death
Waterproofish
7. Old Business
Do people have receipts? Karl has a cheque book
8. New Business
Survey: Is it worth it? Previous ones didn't get many results, we're kind of close to the cutoff date, but there is another meeting next week and the week after that. For posterity's sake.
Mo would like to rewrite it to be better, has requested input if anyone has suggestions.
Straw poll: Overwhelming support for a survey
Survey will be publicized Show Three.
Hurray Mo for doing it!
Next Term Stuff: Format, 15th anniversary, decide next meeting
Format: Talk about it tonight? Wait for survey results.
Volunteer Shows: Can't book for weeknights until midterm schedules are finalized about a month into the next term
Club Office: Still bad
Printer: Bessie will talk to Karl, he knows about getting toner
Toner: We should get some. Best solution? Brand new or refills (Expense vs. Reliability)
Motion to leave it to Karl
Approved
W-FAC: Went as well as expected, no big problems, some very good movies, some very bad, everyone enjoyed themselves, turnout 30-100 range, average of 80ish, mixed demographics
SOS Tokyo Exploration Team was pretty good, recommended to show
5 Centimetres/Second: Might be showable
9. Changes to the Minutes: Spelling Error, Wrong Meeting Number
Meeting Minutes Approved
10. Call to adjourn, seconded, adjourned
