Disc Procurement:
Dont need disc two of Mushishi with current schedule, but still need Chevalier
Chris has asked Paradox for free stuff
Karl suggests renting it from zip.ca
Cheap, we will get it in time
Rent whether we get CD from Paradox or not as a failsafe
We might have a subscription from zip
Check with Karl for price of renting: 25$/month for four discs with no shipping cost, so lets make use of that!
Also possible for weekday shows to use zip (plan a week in advance)
Does anyone oppose spending 0$ for CD? No

Art contests are up, according to last meeting
Not time consuming, can fit in current schedule
E-mail Amanda about drawing contest notification
Also a Haruhi Dance activity in the works: Minimum 5 people required
Demonstrate it at the show?
Send all the activity information to Chris and Amanda
Is the place for Show Three booked? Check with Nick
AV Key: Just remember its 8-4, not 8:30-4:30
Stuart volunteers to get key and pass it off to Matt who will bring it to show along with Haruhi discs
Posters:
Add more information to posters
Nicks not here, so hard to know how the poster design is going, but Bessy is prepped to print
Poster volunteers?
Reinhold volunteers for science
Stuart volunteers for arts
Remote Batteries:
Are they dead? On Tuesday didnt seem to work, but then did work after Amanda left
Amanda bought new batteries for it
Chris will get AAAs for Friday to make sure
Karl volunteers but cant get them by Wednesday
Is there a space show on Tuesday? Maybe?
Deadline for batteries Tuesday
Karl will give it a shot
Might be necessary to store batteries outside the remote because they keep draining
Check to see how they hold up for Tuesdays show
Emergency lights: Chris will really bug Randy about it this time
Volunteers: Moved to next meeting
Many exec will be missing, who will be projectionist? Karl and Matt are available to project
3. Laser Quest and WatSFiC
Friday, November 23
Whats the start time? 7:00 p.m. is cool
Joseph volunteers to call and book the place
650$ for four games
Between 30-60 people can take part, 30 knocks it down to about 21$, we can knock it up to 25$ for pizza included
Well start with 20$ for 30 people and see if we can get more
30 total from both clubs needed
WatSFiC members a bit apathetic, about 6 want to go at last meeting, but Joseph will ask other members about it
Maybe should raise the price to 25$
What if for some bizarre reason more than 60 people show? Request more games
Chris might be required for taking care of money
Players must arrange their own transportation, directions are required
4. Volunteer Shows
Matts show for Thursday has run into problems
Getting permission for Galaxy Angel should be simple since Bandai gave the club the disc
Getting permissions for others is a question mark
Bug Nick about getting permissions (or bug Donna if worst comes to worst)
Saturday show previous went okay, Adam brought his own sound system, it worked, it all went okay, no memberships sold
Summary: Theyre going about as well as ever
Anime Name That Tune: 8 people showed, they had fun
Difficult questions, could use a change in organization in future (spelling bee eliminates fast), go with the original format, stick to whats been shown previously
5. Old Business
Cheques: Karl has them! Bring your receipts!
Anime North: Booking deadline coming up, Dec. 1st in a few weeks
How give Nick the money? Hopefully he will be at the next meeting
Mailing is not advised by Karl, but recommended for out-of-towners
6. New Business
Dolby and carrying case: Karl would like to get small, powerful speakers, a case (dragalong bag with wheels) for storing equipment, new speaker stands: total about 600$
Advantages: Helps volunteers put on their shows more easily, keeps everything in one place
What if we dont get an office? Well need a pretty large locker
How much money do we have? 4500+1200
Spending lots of money when were not sure what the clubs direction is may be questionable
Other questions beyond volunteers, such as changing show venues
Its useful, question is whether its as useful as $600-700
Straw poll: Majority in favour, many abstentions
Reducing membership cost a separate issue
Calling vote: Who supports Karl buying the carrying case and misc. equipment? 11
Those opposed: fewer than 11
Abstentions: None to note
Motion passes
How long will getting this stuff take? A couple weeks
WFAC: Exec and officers can see the Pixar Story movie free if they let Joe Chen know ahead of time
A bunch of shows to see, go to WFAC.ca (not .org! NOT .org!!!)
Advertise for WFAC? Send out an e-mail to the club
Other News: Bessy started a high school anime club! Cool! We can lend DVDs to Bessy if we want, she can also borrow from the club
About 12 people attended in a school of >400, thus making her club more popular than ours
Amy is going to a dance studio to learn the Haruhi dance, others can come too, get in on the ground floor of this exciting new trend this Friday
Chris will send an e-mail once Amy sends him and e-mail
She needs 8 to book in advance, currently has 4
7. Previous meetings minutes approved
8. Motion to adjourn, Seconded, Approved!
