Thought I'd stick up a thread, just so we don't bog down the other thread too much...

Anyways, I figure if we do do a tournament, I'd use whatever the ruleset that was open to cards from any series (or maybe limit it to a deck from either weiss or schwarz sides). I like the idea will had about a side deck of 10 or so cards, that's about enough to switch things up a bit, that said, it would need to be on the translation sheet.

As for the chances with climax cancelling, its not as much of an issue as you'd think, if you know what you are doing, you can plan accordingly, and reduce the impact of climax cancels. I do like the idea of a best of three system though, it does help the "I didn't get any cards I could use for the first several turns" thing.

Other suggestions?

Other than that, I'm good and would like to join in on the fun

Minimizing an aspect of the game (climax cancels) is a silly goal in the first place. Sure best of three to mitigate the normal problems associated with random events such as this (increasing sample size to help expose the underlying function or distribution), but do it only for that reason.
Best out of 3 games seem perfectly fine for reducing the element of chance with climax cancels. I mean it's pretty much the same kind of thing as being mana-screwed (Not enough mana in the opening hand, mulligans and subsequent draws to do anything) in Magic and best out of 3 seems to work fine with Magic Tournaments.

Personally, I don't mind climax cancels too much, I know for me, whenever I climax cancel damage it usually hurts me more than the opponent -_-.

For the format, Standard seems to be good so we can use all the cards we have, but Neo-standard just seems so interesting as it's not only person vs person but series vs series too :p
Neostandard would be interesting, but I think given how few of us have decks built on boosters vs how many of us have at least 2 trial decks, standard is probably better.

That, and I couldn't use my new deck I'm building upon a new strategy...
Well, maybe we could do an unofficial tournament before with Neostandard just for fun :p

But I'll have to wait till my D.C. I/II P.C. Extra Pack and Angel Beats Trial deck comes until I can do any deck building
Sounds like a cool idea.
Apparently I can't find the single cards I want so I have to buy a angel beat box and make whatever deck I can w/ it but let's duel =P
