Any suggestions for what we should show in the fall?
I'd like to show the rest of roots (and do a catch up show for those who haven't seen the first half and are interested).
Other than that, I have discs for:
Xenosaga (would make a good continuing series, 13 episodes)
Lucky Star (when it ships, would be better for a "best of" show)
Chrono Crusade (disc 1)
.hack//gu trilogy (ova, would be good after roots, better for next term or something, but yeah)
Streaming Hetalia from funimation's youtube could be a good continuing series, or discs if they release soon enough.
Yukikaze!
We failed to watch it during the Winter, despite the fact that we had a Yukikaze Poster up.
Other than that, we should probably watch some stuff from crunchy roll, get rid of all those frosh's excuse for not joining because we don't watch the most very recent stuff.
Demon King Daimao?
hmm... Maybe we should plan a simulcast night like was suggested this term?
Oh yes, if it's not too late, someone should try and contact the people organizing general events for Frosh Week and see if they are still showing Anime on one of the events in one of the days.
I heard from a few people in my year that they just showed Dragonball Z and they thought it was the anime club so they didn't bother to join.
That sucks; we should really do our own thing then, even if that's just a "let's watch lots of crunchyroll stuff because it's really easy."
In fact, advertise it as a Crunchyroll event, and explain during the thing that this is only one source that we use.

Hmm... If that's the case... Well, I will have a ton of space to work with on the posters I'll be putting out before frosh week, any ideas on a clearly not-dbz event we could put on there, or should I just mention a bunch of regularly done events?
EDIT: We couldn't actually run an event during frosh week from what I understand, as we aren't allowed to recruit with anything other than posters during the week, I could be wrong on that though...
Rather than making it totally recruiting, what I was thinking was just telling the frosh week people, if they wanted to show Anime during the week, we could provide them with an endless array of anime rather than them resorting to something like DBZ again.
Mainly so that no one gets the idea that CTRL-A does stuff like watch DBZ (seriously that is, eventually we're going to watch it for laughs or some other purpose). More preventing negative views rather than just recruiting.
EDIT: Telling the frosh people that we have an agreement with Crunchyroll and that we can provide them with basically anything streamed HD to anywhere on campus is pretty good. We don't even need to have any mention of CTRL-A if they are worried.
I can go find out who to approach, and see if the have anything in particular planned, shouldn't be hard to do.
We should totally reshow Durarara or start something like Baccano (but violent... hmm)... how about Gundam?
The second episode of Gundam UC should be released by then right?
How about showing the first 2 episodes?
*Also makes note to check Crunchy Roll when I get back home*
