Actually, if you are thinking of showing three episodes of SDF Macross, might I suggest showing 17-19 instead of 18-20? Episode 19 is the 'Canada Day' one, so only do this if you have time for all three.
Episode 17, while technically a recap episode, is rather funny. The main character is in a coma/undergoing surgery, and it gets...weird. But amusingly so. Episode 20 is mostly plot stuff. At any rate, in my opinion Episode 17 is the more entertaining of the two. All four are on the same disk, so either selection is possible.
