Ctrl-A Forum

So before next term starts, I'd like to state a few events CTRL-A should do to hopefully be able to
A) grab more members
B) have fun early in life (especially good for 1A's to hang out)
C) Celebrate teh return of NecroPhantasia and for YukiPhnx as well as other members who might have missed the event. If I missed your name, sorry, but you weren't active enough for me to notice.

List of events:
1) Karaoke - because the defined students in reason C were unable to attend the one today (or last one if you read this anytime after tomorrow).
2) Hot pot - I can provide a portable gas stove and do the grocery shopping.

Any other suggestions are welcomed here so we have more time to plan, please state here.
This is just so I don't forget...since I tend to forget things quickly.

Doujinshi/Possibly Armored Core Night!

Cosplay contest!

There's gonna be a cosplay contest FOR SURE for halloween!

So, will we make one to distribute? Or will we rent a room, cover all the windows and read doujinshi? Or do you mean playing doujinshi games (Melty Blood, Tohou, etc)?

Mmm, anywhere on campus is considered a public event, so no matter what we do to hide any doujinshi event, it could still be reason for some university official to suck air through their teeth and say "Oh... yeah... no... get out..."


Bringing back suggestions that I loved this term:
Jeopardy, Name that Tune, Sushi Lunch, "Who's that Poke-I mean, Anime Character!"

Things that have been suggested/I'm making them up right now:
"Old School Bandai Commercial" (eg for Death Note: "A boy tries to change the world by writing a book.") (Courtesy of James)
Cosplay on a budget contest (Eg we give teams a theme, and they have to build a costume for under $___ in materials )
Sushi-Making event (not a new idea, but meh)
Maybe we could set up some of the more famous events from Japanese Highschool Athletic Fests and make a day of them?

Bandai commercials: hehehe Doozy Bots ^_^
I think I'll be in favour for cosplay on a budget ^_^...really good for Halloween cosplay contest if we're hosting one again (but it's going to be on a Saturday).
Then we can have one for those who just want to show off their cosplay costume that they made before......just a suggestion.
We could also do an AMV contest on a theme as well ^_^

wow, the sports festival, we'll need a LOT more ppl to join in for that. not only helpers, but participants too

AND I'M SO GONNA ROCK THAT COSPLAY ON A BUDGET CONTEST.
