Perhaps it's just the afterglow of AN affecting me, but I think it might be a good idea to put on panels once in a while. Either incorporate them into something we're already doing like meetings or shows, or just schedule them separately. I think a bi-weekly chat would not only be in line with our goal as a club, but would certainly get a wedge in the door to open up opportunities for more varried activities.
If there's enough interest, I'd be willing to host a trial one... (I would just need to pick a theme/show that I know enough about)

Last time this was tried, nobody except the panelists showed up and it was viewed as an epic fail. But maybe it would be better this time.
Ganbatte~ Tell me what you need and I'll help of course!

Well, that's why I mentioned that we could incorporate it into other things. If our first iteration of it is a popular topic that lots of people can get behind and talking about (Like, say, best anime of all time/past year), then maybe that'd drum up enough interest to spawn off more.

Not true! We had a grand total of 2 people show up who were not panelists. Otherwise, yeah, epic fail.

Oh? That's better than what I remember, but my memory may be coloured by the fact that I had wanted to show up and couldn't. Since I'm the centre of the universe, naturally nobody else counts.
*snickers at Matt's post*
Well as long as you're aware that you're the centre of your universe, I guess we can't fault you for self-centredness can we?

I'm sure one of you is the psychic, one is the time traveller, and one is the robot, and you're all busy behind the scenes keeping things interesting for me. Not sure which is which yet, though.
Well in any case, I'm willing to try and hijack some time immediately after a meeting to use to do a test run...
Not this coming monday though, not nearly enough time.
Sure thing Kyle. Next meeting? There's only like, two more so just let Gavin know he can take a rest that week.
Keep working on that Matt. Let me know when you figure it out.
