Hello all,
what I thought I'd do was I'd tell you that anime trivia is coming with great prizes to give away! On November 23rd starting at 1:00PM in AL 116.

*Please refrain from using laptops or personal aids during all sessions.  I have made questions easier and therefore personal aids are unnecessary.  Any sign of cheating (using personal aids) will cause the team to lose points*

Since this game is not your typical trivia game, more rules on the day of the event. So, for the next two weeks: read manga, watch anime and buy figurines!

Looks like a 1v1 battle like Soul Calibur.  Don't know about the release date, but it will be coming in shortly.

CHRONO TRIGGER (DS)
Just 20 days or less and it's out in people's hand.  Apparently, there's a multiplayer function so everyone can join in the fun together.

Anime Talking:
Now that Autumn Season of anime is out, how are you enjoying some of the series.  Problems/Concerns, raise it up at the forums ^_^ (registration is necessary).

Details of the Cosplay Contest:

1.       You can cosplay as any character from an anime/manga/game

2.       Please be modest with clothing…>_>  nothing too revealing

3.       You can only wear 1 costume during the contest

4.       Contest is open to members only, but if non-members want to come show off their costumes, they are free to do so.  However, non-members won’t be eligible for the prize.

5.       Prize is:  A free DVD of your choice (about 3 or 4 to choose from) and a prize from the prize bin (about 15 to choose from).

6.       Winner is decided by audience’s cheers.  However, execs have final say if cheers are about equal.

*ANYONE who is dressed up for the show gets free candy, regardless whether or not you join the contest

Details of the Art Contest:

1.       Artwork must feature our mascot Emiko-chan (pictures of her can be found on our website)

2.       You may change her hairstyle and clothes

3.       Clothes and/or poses must not be the same as a character from an existing anime/manga/game (you must be original)

4.       You may submit hand-drawn artwork or digital artwork

5.       You may submit up to 3 pictures

6.       Hand-drawn artwork should be at least 8.5 X 11 inches.  A scan is ideal for submission, but if you don’t have a scanner, please hunt down an exec and hand it to them (probably during a meeting or show is best).

7.       Digital artwork should be at least 5 X 7 inches and a resolution of at least 200dpi.  Please send in a jpeg image.  If you are having trouble sending it, you can upload it onto a picture hosting website and send us the link.

8.       PLEASE SEND ALL ARTWORK TO ctrl-a@ctrl-a.org WITH YOUR FULL NAME BY SUN. NOV. 23

9.       Prize is: $20 gift certificate of your choice (art store, movie theatre, etc) and a prize from the prize bin!

10.   Winner is to be determined by execs. 

11.   By sending us your artwork, you are agreeing to let us use your image for design purposes on our website, for membership cards, posters or banners :)
