Summer 1994

The club was forced to move to RCH 101 (what was then EL 201) for its showings, since AL 116 was only available over the summer for the considerable rental fee of $300. The club also attended the Federation of Students' Club Day, though poor planning on the host's part resulted in a disappointing turnout.

Mark Ng returned to his role as poster artist for CTRL-A, as well as assuming the position of Publicity Officer. Larry also attempted to bring Totoro and Kiki to the local library in a children's matinee, though problems with copyrights from their North American owners, Tokuma Publishing, put those plans on hold -- hopefully not for long. [Tokuma was pursuing legal action against video pirates at the time, and, understandably, did not feel comfortable giving us permissions while their case was still in court.]

Memberships at the time of this writing is 257, making us the second largest club on Campus this term, with one more "members only" show to go. The Chinese Student Association numbers 265.

This was Bret Hoeffler's final term as a member of the executive of CTRL-A.
